Chairman's Message

Recent catastrophes around the world have clearly revealed that governance, risk & compliance (GRC) and more critically health, safety and environmental (HSE) management is critical to business success. Without monitoring compliance, and indeed optimizing business performance based on the intelligence gained from governance, risk and compliance related activities, businesses can struggle to survive. Clients, regulators and other stakeholders in a myriad of industries are demanding that organizations implement and report on rigid requirements to minimize risk in an efficient and transparent manner. For these reasons, CMO's stellar growth continued in 2011, and the prospects globally for 2012 could not be more exciting particularly with our refocus on the Australian market.

Our Mission Statement is to become recognized as the leading provider of GRC and HSE management software enabling clients to significantly improve operational performance by providing a superior time and cost saving product with a continued commitment to impeccable customer service.

In order to achieve this, we are working towards 3 goals:

  1. The first is to maintain our position as market leaders. Unlike many competitors, we are very privileged to have a mature software product that is the result of 120 man years of design and development. In order to maintain this competitive advantage, we reinvest a proportion of revenue that is far higher than the industry standard back into the products development, with a team of 32 now working on the product full time, to ensure that CMO COMPLIANCE remains the most user friendly and powerful GRC& HSE management product.
  2. The second goal is to diversify the product to support further industries. We currently support a wide range of industries such as Mining, Oil & Gas, Construction, Financial, Food Services, Facilities Management and Aviation, however we are constantly looking to expand into new industries where we can assist clients improve operational performance by optimizing GRC & HSE processes. This will further allow us to share best practices across industries for our valued clients.
  3. The final goal is to expand our global footprint. At the moment we have over 100,000 users on 5 Continents representatives. We are looking to increase this, as well as increase the number of divisions operating within some of our existing offices. We are on track to be a $100m company by 2013. As globalization is now a reality for businesses of all sizes, having a truly global footprint ensures that we can support our clients with impeccable customer service wherever they may be located.

Biography: Before joining CMO, Stephen was the Managing Director of Bureau Veritas (UK) where he was responsible for growing the business both organically and by acquisition. Stephen is very customer focused and always strives to deliver a quality that results in organizational improvement.
